Norwell Soccer Association offers a Junior referee program for all boys and girls age 12 and 13 years old. Junior referees will referee U8 games and may be assistant referees in non-USSF certified matches. Non-USSF certified matches are in-town recreational games. Games will be assigned via the Game Officials (see link on Referee Main page) assigning program. A program coordinator (to be determined), working with the assignor, will schedule referees for all U8 games. In order to get assigned games as a junior referee (or a referee) you must make your availability known in the Game Officials program. No assignments will be made to officials who are not available in the system.
Stay tuned for details regarding an on-field clinic for all junior referees. Junior referees will be assigned games (through Game Officials) and will be issued tee shirts and whistles. On that day, junior referees will work with an experienced high school student on how to referee a game at this level.
